ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Bangalore by International Flight

Arrival by scheduled flights at Bangalore airport, Meeting and assistance at the airport upon arrival and transfer to HOTEL.

Day 02: Bangalore-Mysore

From Bangalore to Mysore, Enroute Visit Srirangapatnam (140 km, 4 hours ).Bangalore, 920 meters above sea level, is not only the capital of the state of Karnataka, but is the city that more than any other in India aspires to modernity.Nicknamed the "Silicon Valley" Indian, It had characterized in the past, to adapt to the tastes of the middle class and consumerist lover of shopping centers. In the morning, after a brief orientation tour of the city after it leaves for Mysore. Along the way we visit a Srirangapatnam the legendary palace of Tippu Sultan founder, together his father Hyder Ali, the Sultanate of Mysore that fell by the British in 1799.

Day 03: Mysore - Somnathpur - Mysore

Mysore: excursion to Somnathpur, where stands the magnificent Temple Keshava, Mysore, the cultural capital of Karnataka, is a captivating city known for its silk,production of sandalwood and incense. The morning is dedicated to the excursion Somnathpur (33 km), where it stands the magnificent Temple Keshava 1268, the last incredible architectural masterpiece of Hoysala dynasty.

In the afternoon to visit the extraordinary Palace of Mysore Maharaja of the twentieth century, kaleidoscope of stained glass windows and mirrors in the Indo-Saracenic style. A walk in colorful fruit and vegetable market will conclude the day.

Day 04: Mysore - Hassan

Mysore depart for Chikmagalur, stopping to visit Sravanbelagola, one of the first centers of South India Jain (207 km, 5 hours) Early in the morning departure for Sravanabelagola, one of the first centers where spread Jainism in South India. A long flight of steps leads to the top of Vindhyagiri hill where stands a temple of X century pilgrimage from all over the country. At the center of the temple stands a giant monolithic statue depicting Gomateshvara, the son of the king who, according to legend, gave up the riches and the power of his rank to devote to meditation Jain (the climb of 600 steps you performs without shoes; those who want to avoid this difficulty, for a few rupees can be lead on top in the sedan). In the late afternoon arrival in Hassan.

Day 05: Full day Escursion to Belur and Halebidu from city of Hassan

Full day excursion to Belur and Halebid (75 km, 2 hours) The temples of Belur and Halebid, a few kilometers from Hassan, are masterpieces of Hoysala dynasty that reigned between 1100 and 1300, and certainly among the finest examples beautiful Hindu architecture.

Day 06: Hassan - Hospet

From Hassan to Hospet, Karnataka Central, visiting along the path fortress Chitradurga (360 km, 7 hours) It travels at a time of Hospet in Karnataka between the central valleys and picturesque hills.Along the way we visit the fortress that dominates the town of Chitradurga, important feudal state Vijayanagar empire.

Day 07: Hospet - Hampi -Hospet

From Hospet to Hampi, which is one of the archaeological sites fascinating South Indian (26 km, 1 hour) Excursion to the village of Hampi (13 km from Hospet) where among the gorges of the river Tungabhadra in an environment littered with boulders rock is one of the sites the most fascinating archaeological entire South India. Are the ruins of the "City of Win "the rich and powerful capital of the great Hindu kingdom Vijayanagar from 1343 to 1565. Day 08: Hospet - Badami

Hospet proceed towards Badami stopping at Aihole and Pattadakal (190 km, 4-5 hours). Day dedicated to the discovery of the lost cities of the Chalukya dynasty: Aihole, true laboratory of religious architecture of the time, and Pattadakal, with other temples dedicated to Shiva, Durga and Vishnu, masterpieces of India's south-central protected UNESCO. Late afternoon arrival at Badami, former capital of the dynasty Chalukya, who reigned between the sixth and eighth centuries.

Day 09: Badami

Visit Badami in a beautiful rural area, between red rock hills and farmland, Badami is a quiet village not very frequented by tourists. Visit of the cave temples carved within the four caves dedicated to Hindu gods and Jain, dug in rock on the heights of the valley overlooking the lake. The temples date back mainly to the sixth century and, over the sculptures and bas-reliefs, contain important inscriptions Sanskrit.

Day 10: Badami - Hubli - Mumbai Flight

Depart for flight to Mumbai (100 km, 2 hours of road and flight about an hour) Morning departure for the airport Belgaum (100 km) to take the flight to Mumbai). Arrival and transfer to the hotel near the airport.

Day 11: Mumbai-Aurangabad

Mumbai - Aurangabad, hike to the caves of Ajanta (flight Mumbai / Aurangabad + 200 Km to the caves of Ajanta roundtrip) Early morning transfer to airport and departure by scheduled flight to Aurangabad.

The day is dedicated to Ajanta. Who will visit the caves are among the examples of architecture digging and religious ancient arts of the most important in world. Few Western tourists who come to visit these works in cave Because of the geographic location uncomfortable: too remote from classics northern India and too remote from classical South Indian. Ajanta and Ellora are among the works most important cave in the world. Day 12: Aurangabad

Aurangabad - hike to the caves of Ellora - (60 Km round trip to the caves of Ellora) From Aurangabad Ellora caves are not far apart. It is 40 kilometers of road walkable in under an hour. While Ajanta is located in the north-east of Aurangabad, the site Ellora lies north-west. This rock opera was born after the Ajanta caves and is an artistic event very different. In Ellora, even if expressions are Buddhist and Jain, the main work is within the religion Hindu. The caves of Ajanta all production instead of the Buddhist tradition. A.D .Ellora caves there are several, but the work most amazing of all is the temple

At the end of the tour we return to Aurangabad.

Day 13: Aurangabad-Mumbai

Morning departure to the airport for the flight to Mumbai and on arrival visit the City.
