DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HA NOI (D)

Upon arrival in Hanoi, you are welcome with the warmest atmosphere. Then transfer to town and check in hotel. Free at leisure to enjoy your time.

DAY 2: HA NOI FULL DAY CITY TOUR (B, D)

Breakfast at hotel

This morning, start your tour by visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The mausoleum is the last resting place of Ho Chi Minh President, known as Uncle Ho, Vietnam’s great revolutionist. It is a symbol of gratitude and respect of Vietnamese people for president Ho Chi Minh. Close by, the famous One Pillar Pagoda is worth a passing look and Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House where used to be staying and working place of Uncle Ho. After that, we will continue to visit the Literature Temple – Vietnam’s first University, constructed in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past.

When you finish your lunch at a local restaurant, we will proceed to Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. This is the most recent yet probable the largest and undoubtedly the most interesting museums in Hanoi and Vietnam. Then we will stop at Sword Lake with Ngoc Son Temple and The Huc Bridges. Continue to explore Hanoi’s Old Quarters and do shopping at Dong Xuan Market, one of biggest market in Hanoi.

DAY 3: HANOI – SAPA by bus (B, D)

Breakfast at hotel

This morning, check out hotel and transfer to Sapa for 5 hours by bus. On the way you will have chance to see green rice fields and magnificent mountains with beautiful scenenry. Upon arrival, do early check in at hotel and take some rest. 

Afternoon, walk down to Cat Cat village of H'mong tribe in the valley. Enjoy some visits to local families and stop by Cat Cat cascade. You will also enjoy spectacular scenery while walking along dirt trails through green rice paddies.

DAY 4: SAPA SIGHTSEEING – HANOI by bus (B, D)

Breakfast at hotel. 

This morning, continue to make a short trek to some minority villages Lao Chai - Ta Van, which is surrounded by Muong Hoa Valley. You will meet some different minority people such as H’Mong - Dzay - Red Dzao  and see different colorful dresses.

Free at your own leisure until check out hotel and leave for Hanoi at about 2pm.

Arrive in Hanoi, you will have dinner at Vietnamese restaurant

DAY 5: HANOI – NINH BINH – SIGHTSEEING IN NINH BINH (B, D)

Breakfast at hotel

Get on the bus and proceed to Nịnh Binh for 4 hours through rice fields of local people in Red River Delta. Upon arrival, take a boat ride through fascinating karst scenery in Tam Coc - 7 kilometres to the West of the city of Ninh Binh. The two-hour sampan-ride is a definite highlight, meandering through dumpling-shaped karst hills in a flooded landscape where river and rice paddy merge serenely into one. Journey’s end is Tam Coc, three long, dark tunnel-caves (Hang Ca, Hang Giua and Hang Cuoi) eroded through the limestone hills. Follow the road leading southwest from the boat dock for about 2km to visit the cave-pagoda of Bich Dong, or “Jade Grotto”. 

Afternoon, visit Hoa Lu - the capital of an early, independent Vietnamese kingdom called Dai Co Viet. Continue to visit Dinh and Le Temples.

DAY 6: NINH BINH – HALONG – OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE (B, L, D CRUISE)

Breakfast at hotel

After breakfast, proceed to Halong for 4.5 hours to do 3-day-2-night trip on the cruise.

12:00: We arrive at the office in the pier where you will be welcomed by our crew.

12:30: Embark Mon Chéri Cruises. You will be served a welcome drink and provided with a cold towel. This will be followed by a cruise briefing where you will also be given safety instructions before checking in to your cabin. We will set sail and you will have lunch in Mon Cheri's luxury restaurant while enjoying the beauty of the canals on our way to Halong Bay. 

16:00: We arrive at Light and Dark Cave, where you can do kayaking or bamboo boat rowed by local people. Then return to Mon Chéri Cruises, followed by swimming near the ship. 

17:30: Get to the top deck where you can admire the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin and enjoy a complimentary sunset party.  

Then take part in cooking demonstration to learn about our Vietnamese cuisine of traditional spring rolls.

You can also enjoy the massage service which is available onboard. (Please book directly with the Cruise Manager on the boat)

19:00: A great dining experience awaits you. 

20:30-0:00: After finishing dinner, you can enjoy the landscape of the bay at night up on the top deck, relax with romantic ballad music, enjoy drinks from the bar try your luck at squid fishing, watch a movie or relax in your room.

DAY 7: LAN HA BAY – BIKING IN VIET HAI VILLAGE – CA BA ISLAND (B, L , D CRUISE)

6:00: It is perfect to start your day in the early morning to admire the marvelous sunrise or attend the Tai Chi class on the top deck. Have a fragrant cup of coffee made from a special blend which was created just for Mon Chéri, or a refreshing cup of tea. 

7:00: Buffet breakfast is served.

08:00: Transfer to a Day Boat to head to Viet Hai Village in Cat Ba Island. You will take the bicycle trip along the village, admiring stunning scenery of the rice fields on the way. Then you will have some time for trekking into the forest and explore a hidden cave. (You can also choose to see the village by electric car at additional cost)

12:00: Return to the boat, where a BBQ lunch is served on the day boat.

13:45: Kayaking to explore Van Boi Bay and visiting the local people who live in the floating village, followed by swimming at a pristine beach.

16:00: Back on board Mon Chéri Cruises. You are free to take a shower before enjoying the sunset party with a new group of guests.

19:15: Another great dining experience awaits you.

20:45 – 00:00: After finishing dinner, you can enjoy the landscape of the bay at night up on the top deck, relax with lovely music, enjoy drinks from the bar, try your luck again at squid fishing, watch a movie or retire to your room.

DAY 8: CAT BA ISLAND – HANOI – HUE (B, BRUNCH, D)

 06:00: Wake up early to start your perfect day with Tai Chi class or watch the sunset on the top deck. Enjoying a cup of coffee and tea is ideal choice. 

7:00 – 9:30: Buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant. 

9:30: Visit Cat ba island. You are taken by bus to visit Trung Trang Cave, the most beautiful stalagmite and stalactite cave, located in Cat Ba National Park. 

10:30: Return the boat and check out the cabin. Then have brunch in restaurant while the boat sails back to pier. We settle the bill at the end of trip. 

12:00: Check out boat and return to port. Proceed to the airport for flight to Hue. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check in and relaxing

DAY 9: HUE FULL DAY CITY TOUR (B, D)

Breakfast at hotel

This morning, take a short excursion to visit Imperial Citadel including Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, Forbidden Purple City. 

Afternoon, visit the tomb of Tu Duc King, It is one of the most beautiful Royal architectural works of the Nguyen dynasty. Then visit the tomb of Khai Dinh King - one of the most surprising among myriads of royal tombs in Hue. 

The rest of the day is for visiting Thien Mu pagoda – the symbol of Hue. Embark on a boat for cruising downstream on the Perfume River to Trang Tien Bridge and enjoy spectacular sunset scenes.

DAY 10: HUE – DANANG – HOI AN (B,D)

Breakfast at hotel

Check out hotel and transfer to Hoi An Ancient Town. The scenic 4-hour drive via Hai Van Pass offers spectacular views of mountains, the sea, idyllic beaches and villages (or we can choose the shorter way by driving through the tunnel). 

After lunch, continue to Hoi An and stopover to visit the Marble Mountain. Wander around the village around where is famous for stone sculptures and handicrafts.

DAY 11: MY SON SANCTUARY – HOI AN (B, D)

Breakfast at hotel. 

In the morning, take excursion to My Son Sanctuary. Granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 1999 the tower-temples were the seat of the Champa Kingdom for the majority of its existence between the 4th and 13th centuries. The sanctuary is situated in an impressive location surrounded by hills, around 35 km inland from the coast at Hoi An. Explore the ruins then visit the small museum at the entrance to My Son before heading back to Hoi An.

This afternoon, stroll around the charming old town and visit ancient houses, local markets, traditional handicraft workshops, Chinese community’s assembly halls and Japanese Bridge Pagoda. We shall try a Hoi An specialties: White Rose & Banh Mì Phượng (Baguette).

And in the evening, enjoying a one-hour “Hoi An Memories” show is a large-scale outdoor real world performance with a capacity of 3,300 people. The stage features both watery and mountainous sceneries, stretching over 1 kilometer, with the participation of 500 performers.

DAY 12: FARMER EXPERIENCE – HO CHI MINH CITY (B, D)

This morning, transfer to visit Tra Que Herb Village and experience to be a farmer with local people. You will have chance to familiarize with growing and collecting vegetables. This is the biggest village providing daily vegetables for Hoi An town and near provinces.

Free at your own leisure until transfer to the airport in Da Nang for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you are welcome with the warmest atmosphere, then transfer to hotel for check in and take a rest

DAY 13: HO CHI MINH CITY – CAO DAI GREAT TEMPLE – CU CHI TUNNELS (B, D cruise)

Breakfast at hotel

This morning, start your day by visiting Cu Chi Tunnels. Begin tour around Cu Chi tunnels. It is miniature battle versatile of Cu Chi’s military and people during the 30-year war between Viet Nam and America. After that, head to Tay Ninh to visit Cao Dai Great Temple and observe the ceremony. 

Back to Ho Chi Minh City in the evening and have cruise dinner while the ship moves around Saigon River.

DAY 14.: HO CHI MINH – MY THO – MEKONG DELTA CRUISE – CAN THO (B, L, D)

Breakfast at hotel

This morning, guide & car pick up at the hotel & transfer to My Tho. Arrival My Tho. Take a motor-boat cruise cross Mekong Delta. Enjoy coconut juice on boat. 

Arrival Thoi Son islet, visit local farmer’s house, then tasting the seasoned tropical fruits, honey tea… while the amateur singers perform the traditional folk music. Taking hand-rowing sampans along small canals and visit coconut candy workshop. Get on motor-boat back to the wharf. Transfer to local restaurant for lunch. Enjoy “Fried Elephant ear fish” – a specialty of My Tho. 

After lunch, drive to Can Tho and visit Binh Thuy Ancient House.

DAY 15: CAN THO – CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – HO CHI MINH (B, D)

Breakfast at the hotel

Early morning boat cruise to visit Cai rang floating market. The market is filled with small boats darting through the water as vendors buy and sell their wares. Cruise through small canals and stop at fruit orchard to taste some of the succulent fruits of the Mekong Delta. Continue to cruise Ba Cong to see the orchard garden. Here we will walk around to see the colorful local life and visit Rangsay Muni Pagoda which is one of Vietnam’s most popular destinations

Upon arrival, check in hotel and free at your own leisure for the rest of time

DAY 16: HO CHI MINH CITY – HANOI – DEPARTURE (B)
